Sometimes you just gotta try something new. Taken from information kindly provided by Eotech, all we knew of this drain was where it’s infall was. Rolling down a hill in the dark, we found the manhole easily and with a heave, the cobweb covered hole was uncovered. The barred infall was far too tight to squeeze down, but once inside it was spacious enough to walk without stooping.
Dreadnaught – October 2010
We wanted to hit Motherload. As we walked down the path where the lid is, the heavens opened and pissed cats and dogs at us an hour. Motherload is meant to be nasty at the best of times, volatile like a couple of previous relationships. Spits 3 times a day, usually unexpected and due to several co-factors. When it rains, no drains. Except from Dreadnaught. I realised when we went to Dreadnaught in June, we’d missed a few bits, bits that were actually quite interesting.

Go West – May 2010
Another 28DL meet was arranged, and my attendance in Cardiff was confirmed when I realised what there was to do on the way down. Following Guildford, Bristol and Manchester’s previous nights of antics in years gone by, I pencilled myself in and got arranging.
