Stories from The Shard came to the forefront of the national and international press at the start of April. Brad and Otter simultaneously posted reports on their blogs and within 48 hours, every major newspaper and broadcaster with any interest in London or the forthcoming Olympics was seeking information and interviews from anybody who explored in London, to run front page stories. The City of London is a happy hunting ground for the ascension inclined amongst the community. Bevis Mark is undergoing ‘improvements’ in the same way that Kings Reach Tower was, and at just 9 stories, would probably be left aside if it wasn’t immediately adjacent to 30 St Mary’s Axe, AKA ‘The Gherkin’. Eyeballs
Deep Ochre had been a target of mine for a while, although finding it seemed to consist of just looking for lids in a certain area. In all honesty, I didn’t know where I was meant to be looking or what I was going to find. A few hints had appeared on certain sites and by chance, I identified a lid that I thought would be it.
Cut and Cover #3 – The Met Line Three.

A certain unease always sets in when down on London’s underground train lines. Attemping to access the very same set of tracks a week previously had seen us facing a train coming towards us, well after service. Although we we have always been aware of the risks associated with this sort of activity, the unpredictable London Underground network of tubes and cut and cover never lose that ability to unnerve.
