Novotel – June 2010

with one comment

Having realised that June was a very quiet month for my nocturnal expeditions, I guess the last night of the month was the best one to top up the explore count with. Originally meeting for a couple of beers and some of the finest grub mr JD Wetherspoon could muster, we discussed our recent lack of high stuff as we walked past the local Novotel, realising that maybe we could get up on the roof there.

Although slightly shorter than the auld target of Western Tower, Novotel was closer to the town centre and as such gave better views. We returned when it was dark, as everybody knows this is the only time to take shots from above. Apparently.

Looking East over Station Road and Friar Street towards The Blade. A year since opening, it hasn’t got a single tenant…

The Station Hill area, with Western Tower, NCP, Mecca, Friar’s Walk and BT all waiting to be knocked down in order to build me a big playpark for a couple of years. Want to know what’s inside them? Home Fires Burning.

Another view east.
